M55302/4-01 is a Winchester disk drive, a type of hard disk drive developed by IBM in 1974 and used as early personal computer data storage. It uses an industry standard 5.25-inch form factor, contains 30MB of storage capacity, and has a rotational speed of 3600 rpm. It utilizes the French-manufactured MFM HDC (Hard Disk Controller) for data encoding and data transfer between the disk and controller card. It is constructed out of a metal housing and measures 8.63 x 5.75 x 1.62 inches.
