The VCNL36687S is a proximity sensor with an integrated vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) by Vishay. It is a 940nm wavelength, 20mA, 200mm device with I2C communication interface. The sensor can detect proximity of objects in the range of 10-200mm from the object. It is designed to be used in low-power mobile and IoT systems to detect presence and movement of objects.
