The TSAL6100 is an infrared emitting diode from Vishay's T17 family of products. It is a small, hermetically sealed package that is designed for high speed switching and modulation applications. This diode is through-hole mounted and can be used for applications such as wireless communication links, remote control systems, and optical communication systems. The TSAL6100 provides a very fast rise/fall time of only 0.15 microseconds and a wide operating temperature range from -40 degrees Celsius to +100 degrees Celsius. It also has a high radiant power output of up to 50 mW/sr. The TSAL6100 is RoHS compliant and is ideal for applications which require high speed signaling with minimal power consumption.
