The TEMT1000 is a surface-mount ambient light-to-current sensor module manufactured by Vishay. It provides an interface between incident light intensity and an analog output signal. The sensor uses a silicon phototransistor to measure changes in ambient light intensity. It provides a good signal-to-noise ratio, making it well-suited for applications requiring a precise, high-resolution light measurement such asthose involving backlit LCD display, night vision systems, and various OEM applications. The TEMT1000 offers programmable photocurrent, as well as temperature compensation and filter settings for improved accuracy. It has a low power consumption and a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The module has a small footprint of 3 mm x 3 mm and is RoHS compliant.
