The Vishay 4N36 is an optically isolated, surface mount, single channel transistor output optocoupler. It features a light emitting diode (LED) input and a phototransistor output. The high isolation voltage of 5kV makes it suitable for use in harsh industrial settings with high voltage interfering signals. It is rated for a peak forward current of 100mA, a continuous collector current of 25mA, and a continuous forward current of 10mA. It also features a low thermal resistance of 4°C/W and a high-speed response time of 4µs. It is RoHS compliant and offers excellent performance and reliability.
