The 1N4004 diode is a general purpose, standard recovery rectifier diode manufactured by TWGMC. It is constructed with a glass passivated junction designed to offer better reliability and improved performance in most rectification applications. With a reverse polarity capability of 1000 volts and a continuous forward current rating of 1.0 Amps, the 1N4004 is capable of withstanding surge currents up to 30 Amps and peak repetitive reverse voltage ratings of up to 400 volts. This diode is designed to operate up to a maximum case temperature of +150°C. It is also RoHS compliant, meaning it does not contain any hazardous substances such as lead or mercury.
