The TMS320LF2406APZA by Texas Instruments is a 16-bit fixed-point Digital Signal Processor (DSP) and Controller (DSC) with Flash memory. It is designed for multimedia applications and signal processing and provides low-power and high-performance operation. It comes with a 64-pin LQFP package and is built with a high-performance C55x Core system architecture to support up to 75MHz for high-performance calculations. It also provides filter-based processing capabilities such as decimation and interpolation functions for high resolution audio and video processing and data conversion. For enhanced system flexibility, the device supports various communication protocols, and up to 32KB of on-chip memories for storing code and data. It also features automatic programming which allows users to quickly and efficiently program and configure the controller. In addition, parallel I/O ports are provided for interfacing with external peripherals.
