The TCAN1043DMTRQ1 with CAN Interface IC is a high-performance, integrated automotive controller area network (CAN) transceiver manufactured by Texas Instruments. This device is designed for the CAN Flexible Data-Rate (CAN FD) protocol and is combined with a wake input feature. The wake input allows for a host microcontroller to reduce power consumption by entering a low power mode and reinitiating the bus upon detection of an enabled external wake signal. The TCAN1043DMTRQ1 operates from a single power supply voltage ranging from 4.5V to 14V, making it suitable for a wide range of automotive applications. It is also capable of bidirectional data rates of up to 8 Mbps and supports open-drain and open-collector wake inputs for both standard and extended frames. Additionally, the device includes dual process monitors, Flexible Data Rate, and support for operating temperatures from -55°C to +125°C which make it well suited for automotive and industrial CAN systems with better data transmission rates as well as improved error-detection capabilities.
