The LM393BIDR integrated circuit (IC) from Texas Instruments is a dual analog comparator with a commercial-grade standard 8-SOIC (Small Outline Integrated Circuit) package and an operating temperature range of -40 to 85°C. The comparator provides an excellent on-chip capability to compare two analog input signals and discover any voltage difference between them in order to activate a logic output stage. It features internal hysteresis, offset voltage adjustment pins, and push-pull output stage with operation up to 36V. These features make the LM393BIDR ideal for use in industrial automation, digital power systems, automotive, and energy management designs. The device is offered in a Pb-Free package, which is compliant with the RoHS directive.
