The TIP41C from STMicroelectronics is a PNP Silicon Transistor in TO-220 package. This device is intended for use in power linear and switching applications. This high power transistor is a switching type, with a maximum Vce (on) voltage of 45V, a maximum Collector current of 4A and a maximum power dissipation of 95W. The transistor has built-in protection against secondary breakdown. It offers high switching speeds and excellent DC current gain performance. This device has a monolithic construction which includes a high voltage collector-base clamp, low current integrated diodes, a non-saturable initally resistor and an internal protection zone. The TIP41C can be used in audio, motor control, deflection and high voltage switching circuits.
