The L6498DTR is a high-voltage MOSFET gate driver with a N-channel, Hi/Lo side, 2 A, 480 V, 8-Pin SOIC T/R package manufactured by STMicroelectronics. This device is specifically designed to interface high-side and low-side N-channel power MOSFETs and IGBTs in hard switching applications. It accomplishes this task by providing high-current drive capability and excellent gate capacitance handling capability with several design features. These include under-voltage lockout circuitry, built-in soft start capability, and output voltage slew rate control. The L6498DTR also offers diagnostic and protection features, such as programmable overcurrent and/or over-temperature protection. The device is suitable for a variety of applications in motion control, industrial, power supplies, telecom/server, and automotive applications.
