Output currents can go as high as 2 A in boost mode and in buck mode. The buck-boost Automatic Transition Between Step Down and converter is based on a fixed frequency, pulse-width- Boost Mode modulation (PWM) controller using synchronous Typical Device Quiescent Current: 50 A rectification to obtain maximum efficiency. At low load Fixed and Adjustable Output Voltage Options currents, the converter enters Power Save Mode to maintain high efficiency over a wide load current Output Discharge Option range. The converter can be disabled to minimize Power Save Mode for Improved Efficiency at Low battery drain. During shutdown, the load is Output Power disconnected from the battery.
