IThe SIT3232EEUE is a RS232 IC packaged in an SOP-16 or small-outline package, made by the Italian semiconductor manufacturer Sitai S.P.A. It is compliant with the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) directive, which requires electronics companies to avoid using certain hazardous materials in their products. It is suitable for use in a variety of digital serial interface applications. The device is equipped with one dual differential line driver with RS-232 logic levels, one dual differential line receiver with RS-232 logic levels, and one control signal receiver. It supports data rates up to 250 Kbps, and provides ESD (electro-static discharge) protection.
