160016.2 is the official Swedish Standard for Building Safety Code. It covers the application of the minimum requirements in building safety with the aim to reduce the risk of injury or loss of life due to fire and other hazardous events. It applies to new buildings, and to extensively modernized existing buildings, and defines legal requirements that all new buildings must adhere to. Its scope also covers evacuation, management of hazardous risk, alarm systems and escape routes, among others.
