The P2300TA Gas Discharge Tube (GDTs) SMA (DO-214AC) RoHS manufactured by SEMIWARE is an electronic component used to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage transients. The GDT features two gas-filled chambers connected in series, which produce a non-linear resistance when subjected to a transient voltage above the breakdown voltage. At a voltage greater than the breakdown voltage, a sparkover occurs, preventing the passage of current and thus providing protection.
