6-AXIS ACCELEROMETER&GYROSCOPE Seeed Studio
Grove IMU 9DOF 1. 6-Axis Accelerometer: The 6-axis Accelerometer is a component in the Grove IMU 9DOF that measures linear acceleration and angular rate. It senses the rate of acceleration or deceleration along the three perpendicular axes, i.e. x, y and z, with a range of +/-16g. It can measure the Earth’s gravity and rotate in the three perpendicular axes. 2. Gyroscope: The Gyroscope is a component in the Grove IMU 9DOF that measures angular velocity, or the rate of change of the orientation of the device in relation to an external reference. The three gyroscopic axes measure angular rates. It can measure up to 3000 degrees/sec with a resolution of 0.1 degrees/s. 3. Magnetometer: The magnetometer is a component in the Grove IMU 9DOF that measures the strength and direction of the earth’s magnetic field. It measures a range of 500uT with a resolution of 0.3uT. 4. Temperature Sensor: The temperature sensor is a component in the Grove IMU 9DOF that measures the temperature of the device and its environment. It measures a range of -40 to 85°C with an accuracy of ±1°C. 5. Barometer: The barometer is a component in the Grove IMU 9DOF that measures atmospheric pressure between 500 hPa and 1100 hPa. It has a resolution of 0.1 hPa. 6. Device Interface: The Grove IMU 9DOF includes an I2C interface that allows for the communication between the sensors, the host Microcontroller or a PC. It has a data rate of up to 400 kHz and includes two TWI addresses.
