WioTracker(WirelessInputOutput)isanopensourcegatewaywhichenablefasterIoTGPS
solutions.ItisArduinoandGrovecompatibledevelopmentboardsthathelpsyoutracknearly
anymovingthingontheplanetandthenuploadthatdatawirelessly.TheWioLTEistheLTE
versionofWioTracker,sonowwevegot2versionsofWioTrackerandtheLTE(4G)version
willmakesomedifferences.
TherearethreemainupdatescomparingtheWioLTEtothe2Gversion.Firstly,fromitsname
weknowthattheWioLTEsupportsLTE(4G)communicationwhichismuchfasterandpopular
than2G.Secondly,theWioLTEsupportsintotal4differentGNSSGPS,Beidou,GLONSSand
Galileo,theQZSSisalsosupportedasbonus.WithmoreGNSSsupport,positioningwillbemore
accurate.Thirdly,theWioLTEsMCUisupgradedtoSTM32,whichisbasedonCortexM4,
makestheWioLTE5timesfasterthanthe2Gversion.Whatsmore,theflashandRAMhave
alsobeenraisedto1Mbytesand192+4kbytes.
Apartfromthethreemainupdates,theLTEversionisalmostthesameasthe2Gversion.If
yourprojectisusingthe2Gversion,itwouldbeveryeasytoupdatetotheLTEversionbecause
wehavepreparedtransplantableandexpansibleATcommandlibrary.TheArduinoandGrove
compatibilityallowsforquickerdevelopmentthroughnumerouslibrariesandasupportive
community.TheGPSlibrarywhichwillbeavailablewiththeboardisnotjustlimitedtoArduino
itcanfunctionjustaswellifyouchosetodevelopinC/C++.Withtheonboard6Grove
connections,developerscancreateanycombinationofour180+sensorsandactuatorstobuild
projectandsolveanyproblem.Simplifyingtheprototypinganddevelopmentphaseisourgoal.
TheWioLTEiswellsuitedforoutdoorprojectswherethedevicecanconnecttotheGPS
satellitesandprovidearealtimelocationoftheitemitisattachedto.TheLTEprovidesawide
bandwidthwhichallowsmuchfasterinteractionbetweentheuseranddevice.Ifyouaregoing
tobuildprojectslikeabicyclesharingservice,trackingpetsorlivestock,locatingavehicle,or
