The TNY278PN is a 21.5 Watt AC/DC converter with 85-265 VAC input voltage manufactured by Power Integrations. The switch operates at 28W/230 VAC in an over-molded eight-lead surface mount package. It features a PWM converter with auto restart, a green mode for reduced no-load power consumption, and an input under-voltage lockout. The internal thermal protection circuit ensures that the converter operates in a safety range. The device offers very good efficiency with up to 91% at 230 VAC and 78% at 115 VAC. The output voltage range is adjustable from 7V to 32V with a maximum current of 500mA. It also offers a 10 second soft start, over-temperature protection, and over-current protection.
