The SMBJ33CA is an ultra fast-acting bi-directional transient voltage suppressor (TVS) by Polytronics. It is housed in the surface mount Small Outline Package (SOP) DO-214AA form and is compliant with the Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) directive. It is a two-terminal diode that is designed to protect sensitive electronic components from voltage spikes and other protection, and is suitable for use in high-frequency power MOSFETs and IGBTs. The device has a low dynamic resistance and a reliable breakdown voltage of 33V. Its clamping voltage is 11V when under a surge current induced by a peak pulse of 8/20µs. Its maximum leakage current is only 1µA. It is designed for use in a wide range of applications including industrial and consumer electronics products.
