The Pololu #2133 is a shunt reg that is designed to regulate voltage between 26.4V and 4.00ohms and has a power rating of 9W. It is a wide, surface-mount shunt regulator that provides reliable voltage regulation for applications that require higher current than what can be safely put through a voltage regulator IC. The shunt regulator features a Zero Crossing (ZC) lead enabling it to protect loads from switching transients.
