The Pololu 23201A serial adapter is a USB-to-serial adapter board that allows a computer to communicate with a microcontroller or embedded system over a serial connection. It supports the FTDI FT232RL chip, which allows for connections up to 3 Mbps on ports with a 5V or 3.3V logic voltage (depending on model), and also supports a CTS/RTS hardware flow control line for additional data protection. The board also features an extra line of 5V logic, which can be used to power any device that requires a 5V supply, such as an LED indicator or other peripheral. The adapter can be plugged into a USB port on a computer and easily configured by standard terminal software. Additionally, it has an automatic reset pin so it can quickly and easily be reset or restarted remotely.
