MCR8SMG is a triac thyristor from ON Semiconductor. It is a sensitive gate controlled rectifier device, designed to provide bidirectional AC switching in various applications, like consumer, industrial and appliance electronics. It has a maximum average on-state current of 8 Amps and typical gate trigger current of 0.2 mA, making it ideal for microcontroller and digital circuitry driven applications including phase control of resistive and inductive loads.
