The MC7805BTG is a 5V 1A positive linear voltage regulator manufactured by ON Semiconductor. It is a three-terminal, low-dropout (LDO) regulator that is designed to provide a regulated 5V output voltage with a load current of up to 1A. The device has a wide operating input voltage range from 4V to 18V and excellent load and line regulation. It also has a thermal shutdown feature that protects the device from overheating. Other features include an active low reset output and an internal current limiting circuit. The MC7805BTG is available in plastic TO-220, TO-220FP and SO-8 packages.
