The MC14175BDR2G is a 4-bit D-type flip-flop designed by ON Semiconductor. It is a positive edge triggered device, meaning that a logic signal is needed to trigger the device to change states or store information. The device comes in a 16-pin SOIC (Small Outline Integrated Circuit) package, which is a surface mount package with a footprint of 0.154” width and 3.90mm. Its operating temperature range is -55C to 125C, and it has a maximum switching frequency of 15MHz. It offers true and complement outputs and it requires a single +5V power supply. The device can also be used as a shift register for controlling data flow between two digital systems. It is designed for applications where data synchronization and registration is required, such as in data transmission systems and digital communications.
