It is specifically designed to provide ultra low power and ultra low-cost solution for Bluetooth connections for on-body applications such as medical, fitness and sports devices. The NRF51802-QFAA-R is manufactured by Nordic Semiconductor and uses a 48-pin QFN (quad flat no-lead) package. The package is RoHS compliant. The RF transceiver IC features programmable output power, 128-bit AES encryption, programmable data rate up to 2 Mbps, and 6-48 12.5 dBm programmable output power. The radio supports +20 dBm output power and offers high-performance radio links, low power consumption, and small form factor. It is suitable for point-to-point, multi-point and star network topologies.
