MPQ8112/MPQ8112A 60V, High-Side Current-Sense Amplifier, AEC-Q100 Qualified DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MPQ8112 and MPQ8112A are low-cost, Low-Cost, Compact Current-Sense Solution unipolar, high-side current-sense amplifiers. 700kHz Bandwidth The devices operate from a 2.7V to 60V supply 300A Typical Supply Current and typically consume a 300A current. They 2.7V to 60V Operating Supply Voltage are ideal for todays automotive systems, 0V to 60V Common Mode Input Range industrial supplies, and systems where 0.2A Typical Shutdown Current battery/DC current monitoring is critical. 300V Input Offset Voltage High-side current monitoring is especially useful Available with Fixed 50V/V Gain in battery-powered systems, since it does not (MPQ8112), or Adjustable Gain interfere with the ground path of the battery (MPQ8112A) charger. The common mode input ranges 1% Current-Sense Gain Accuracy between 0V and 60V with a 700kHz high High-Current Sensing Capabilities bandwidth. That makes these devices suitable Available in a 6-Lead TSOT23 Package for use in inside control and short-circuit Available in AEC-Q100 Grade 1 protection loops. APPLICATIONS The MPQ8112 directly converts a differential Advanced Driver Assistance Systems input voltage to a voltage output with built-in (ADAS) internal common input resistors and a load Sensor Fusion Systems resistor. The MPQ8112 has a 50V/V gain. Electric Power Steering (EPS) Systems The MPQ8112A converts the differential input Electronic Stability Control (ESC) Systems voltage to a current output. This current is Brake Systems converted back to a voltage with an external Battery-Operated Systems load resistor. The MPQ8112A has an Energy Management Systems adjustable gain based on the external common input resistors and load resistor.
