MPQ2166 6V, Dual 2A/2A or 3A/1A, Low Quiescent Current, Synchronous Buck with PG and SS AEC-Q100 Qualified The Future of Analog IC Technology DESCRIPTION FEATURES The MPQ2166 is an internally compensated, 2.7V to 6V Operating Input Range dual, PWM, synchronous, step-down regulator 2A/2A or 3A/1A Continuous Current that operates from a 2.7V to 6V input and 55m/20m R DS(ON) generates an output voltage as low as 0.6V. Programmed Frequency up to 3MHz The MPQ2166 can be configured as a 2A/2A or External Sync Clock Up to 3MHz 3A/1A output current regulator and is ideal for o 180 Phase Shifted Operation powering portable equipment that runs on a Power Good (PG) Indicators single-cell lithium-ion (Li+) battery due to a low External Soft Start (SS) and Track 60A quiescent current. Adjustable Advanced Asynchronous Mode The MPQ2166 integrates dual, 55m , high-side (AAM) or Forced Continuous Conduction switches and 20m synchronous rectifiers for Mode (FCCM) high efficiency without an external Schottky Peak Efficiency >90% diode. The MPQ2166 has peak-current-mode Output Adjustable from 0.6V to 5.5V control and internal compensation and is 100% Duty Cycle Operation capable of low dropout configurations. Both 60A Quiescent Current channels can operate at 100% duty cycle. Cycle-by-Cycle Over-Current Protection (OCP) Full protection features include cycle-by-cycle Short-Circuit Protection (SCP) with Hiccup current limit and thermal shutdown.
