MP173A 700V, Non-Isolated, Offline Regulator, Up to 280mA Output Current with Improved EMI Performance DESCRIPTION FEATURES Primary-Side CV Control The MP173A is a primary-side regulator that Supporting Buck, Buck-Boost, Boost, and provides accurate constant voltage (CV) Flyback Topologies regulation without an optocoupler. It supports Integrated 700V MOSFET and Current buck, boost, buck-boost, and flyback topologies. This Up to 4W Output Power feature optimizes the device for offline, low- Maximum DCM Output Current Below power applications, such as home appliances 180mA and standby power. Maximum CCM Output Current Below The MP173A is a green mode operation 280mA regulator. Both the peak current and switching Low VCC Operating Current frequency lower as the load decreases. This Frequency Foldback feature provides excellent efficiency at light load, Limited Maximum Frequency and improves the overall efficiency. Peak Current Compression Protection features include thermal shutdown Internally Biased VCC (TSD), VCC under-voltage lockout (UVLO), TSD, UVLO, OLP, SCP, and Open-Loop overload protection (OLP), short-circuit Detection protection (SCP), and open-loop detection.
