MTCH810 Haptics Controller Description TABLE 1: 8-PIN DFN PINOUT The MTCH810 provides an easy way to add Haptic DESCRIPTION feedback to any button/sliders capacitive touch interface. The device integrates a single-channel Name 8-Pin DFN Description 2 Haptic driver output with an industry standard I C VDD 1 Power supply input slave interface to create a simple Haptic feedback peripheral. DR2 2 Drive output 2 DR1 3 Drive output 1 Features NC 4 No connection Internal Library of Effects: 2 SDA 5 I C Data - 14 Haptic effect commands 2 SCL 6 I C Clock - Firmware revision query command - Abort Playback command NC 7 No connection 2 I C Control Interface: VSS 8 Ground - 7-bit Addressing mode (address = 0x10) - Supports 100 kHz and 400 kHz transfer rate Pin Description Wide Operating Voltage: 2.3V-5.5V DR1 Minimal Number of External Components Low-Power Consumption when Idle This is the non-inverting PWM Haptics drive output. It Operating Temperature: -40C to +85C should be connected to the non-inverting input of a Haptic driver circuit designed for Eccentric Rotating Package Type Mass Actuators (ERMs). DR2 The device is only offered in an 8-pin 3x3 DFN package (see Figure 1). It should be connected to the inverting input of a Haptic driver circuit designed for ERM Actuators. FIGURE 1: 8-PIN DFN DIAGRAM SDA FOR MTCH810 2 C This pin is the serial data connection of the I 2 interface. It should be connected to the I C master SDA 3x3 DFN signal with a pull-up resistor to VDD. SCL VDD VSS 1 8 2 This pin is the serial clock connection of the I C DR2 2 7 NC 2 interface.
