MIC33050 4 MHz Internal Inductor PWM Buck Power Module with HyperLight Load Features General Description Input Voltage: 2.7V to 5.5V The MIC33050 is a high-efficiency 600 mA PWM synchronous buck (step-down) regulator with internal 600 mA Output Current , a switching inductor featuring HyperLight Load Fixed and Adjustable Output Voltage Options scheme that offers best-in-class light load efficiency No External Inductor Required and transient performance while providing very small Ultra-Fast Transient Response external components and low output ripple at all loads. 20 A Quiescent Current The MIC33050 also has a very low typical quiescent 4 MHz Switching in PWM Mode current of 20 A and can achieve over 85% efficiency Low Output Voltage Ripple even at 1 mA. >93% Peak Efficiency In contrast to traditional light load schemes, the >85% Efficiency at 1 mA architecture does not trade off HyperLight Load control speed to obtain low standby currents and in Micropower Shutdown doing so, the device only needs a small output 12-Pin 3 mm x 3 mm HDFN capacitor to absorb the load transient as the powered 40C to +125C Junction Temperature Range device goes from light load to full load. Applications At higher loads, the MIC33050 provides a nearly MPU Power constant switching frequency of greater than 4 MHz while providing peak efficiencies greater than 93%.
