This MCP9600 corrects - Integrated Cold-Junction Compensation the thermocouple nonlinear error characteristics of Supported Types (designated by NIST ITS-90): eight thermocouple types and outputs 0.5C/1.5C - Type K, J, T, N, S, E, B and R (Typ./Max.) accurate temperature data for the selected Sensor Accuracy for Thermocouple Hot-Junction thermocouple Hot-Junction temperature. And the - MCP9600 0.5C/1.5C (Typ./Max.) MCP96L00 outputs 2.0C/4.0C (Typ./Max.) accurate temperature data. The correction coefficients - MCP96L00 2.0C/4.0C (Typ./Max.) are derived from the National Institute of Standards and Measurement Resolution: Technology (NIST) ITS-90 Thermocouple Database. - Hot and Cold-Junctions: +0.0625C (typical) The MCP9600/L00 digital temperature sensor comes Four Programmable Temperature Alert Outputs: with user-programmable registers which provide - Monitor Hot or Cold-Junction Temperatures design flexibility for various temperature sensing - Detect Rising or Falling Temperatures applications. The registers allow user-selectable - Up to 255C of Programmable Hysteresis settings, such as Low-Power modes for Programmable Digital Filter for Temperature battery-powered applications, adjustable digital filter for fast transient temperatures and four individually Low Power: programmable temperature alert outputs which can be - Shutdown Mode used to detect multiple temperature zones. - Burst Mode: 1 to 128 Temperature Samples 2 The temperature alert limits have multiple 2-Wire Interface: I C Compatible, 100 kHz: user-programmable configurations, such as alert 2 - Supports Eight Devices per I C Bus polarity as either an active-low or active-high push-pull Operating Voltage Range: 2.7V to 5.5V output, and output function as a Comparator mode Operating Current: 300 A (typical) (useful for thermostat-type operation) or Interrupt mode for microprocessor-based systems.
