The 1N5290 is an ultra-fast rectifier diode manufactured by Microchip. This rectifier is designed to provide high performance protection from voltage transients such as electrostatic discharge (ESD). The diode features very low reverse leakage and can handle up to 1A of current. It is able to switch from forward to reverse bias in just a few nanoseconds, providing ultra-fast protection from transient voltage changes. The 1N5290 is available in both Surface Mount and Through-Hole packages.
