The MCV-100 is a kart speed sensor manufactured by Kosmic Kart. It is used to measure the speed of a kart and is able to provide accurate speed readings up to 100km/h. It is a small and lightweight device which is installed in the kart’s axle and is powered by two AAA batteries or an external 6V power source. The MCV-100 can be connected to a data-acquisition system which records and analyses data from a kart’s performance for subsequent analysis. It can also provide a 3-D mapping of the kart’s position, as well as a 3-axis gyroscope to measure attitude and position. The MCV-100 also features a burst mode of data output so that smaller files are generated due to the sensor’s low data rate.
