n KTS1662 Adjustable Overvoltage Protection Switch Features Brief Description Wide Input voltage range: 2.5V to 40V The KTS1662 overvoltage protection device features an Up to 4.5A current capability ultra-low 26m (typical) on-resistance high current Integrated 26m (typ) N-Channel MOSFET integrated MOSFET which actively protects low-voltage Fast OVP turn-off response time: 100ns systems from voltage supply faults up to +40V. Selectable trip-point options An input voltage exceeding the overvoltage threshold will Fixed 5.95V cause the internal MOSFET to turn off, preventing Fixed 10.2V excessive voltage from damaging downstream devices. Fixed 13.5V Adj. 4V to 28V The KTS1662 offers three different fixed OVP options, plus Auto-enabled switch with 18ms debounce time a fully adjustable option. When the OVLO input is Under voltage (UVLO), Short-circuit and thermal connected to GND, the KTS1662 automatically chooses shutdown protection the internal fixed OVLO threshold, preset to 5.95V (typical). VDET output to indicate the presence of VBUS Allowing OVLO to float, gives a preset of 10.2V (typical) ESD Protection and connecting a resistor to GND between 30k and 80k Human Body Model: 2.0kV gives a preset of 13.5V (typical) The overvoltage protection Pb-free WLCSP-12 package threshold can also be fully adjusted with an optional -40C to +85C Temperature Range external resistor divider to a voltage between 4V and 28V. The KTS1662 features a VDET output to indicate the presence of a voltage at VBUS and is independent of the Applications OVP switch. In case the device temperature exceeds the maximum junction temperature, the device switches off.
