13W Powered Device with Integrated DC-DC Controller AS1113 and MPS Function FEATURES GENERAL DESCRIPTION The AS1113 is fully integrated and architected at a system The AS1113 is a single-chip, highly integrated CMOS level to provide the following features: solution for Power over Ethernet (PoE). Applications include Voice over IP (VoIP) Phones, Wireless LAN Access Fully supports IEEE Std. 802.3af-2003 Point, Security and Web Cameras, Analog Telephone Complies with IEC 61000-4-2/3/4/5/6 requirements Adapters (ATA) and Point of Sales Terminals. Complies with IEC 60950 over-voltage protection The AS1113 provides the functions required for power over requirements Ethernet Powered Device (PD) applications. Integrated rectification for superior high voltage The AS1113 integrates rectification and protection circuitry, protection a PD controller, and a DC-DC controller. This high level of Integrated DC-DC controller provides superior EMI integration provides significant reliability and protection performance advantages. Provides seamless support for local power The AS1113 integrates rectification and protection circuitry, a PD controller, and a DC-DC converter. This high level of Maintains power signature under light load conditions integration provides faster response to surge events and Over temperature protection limits stray surge current from passing through sensitive Industrial temperature range, -40C to +85C circuits, such as the Ethernet PHY device. The device is designed to provide a safe low impedance discharge paths 5x5 mm, 20 pin QFN Package, RoHS compliant directly back to the earth ground, resulting in superior reliability and circuit protection. TYPICAL APPLICATIONS AS1113 has been architected and designed to address both EMI emission concerns and surge/over-voltage Voice over IP (VoIP) phones protection in PoE applications. The device implements many design features that minimizes transmission of Wireless LAN Access Points system common-mode noise on to the UTP cable. Pan, Tilt and Zoom (PTZ), security and Web Cameras By using high-volume standard CMOS technology, Akros Analog Telephone Adapters (ATA) enables its customers to implement higher performance Point of Sale (PoS) Terminals PoE devices with low cost and a small footprint.
