ICE2QR2280G-1 Quasi-Resonant, 800 V CoolSET in DS0-12 Package Product Highlights Active Burst Mode to reach the lowest standby power requirement <100 mW no load Quasi resonant operation PG-DSO-12 Digital frequency reduction for better overall system efficiency 800 V avalanche rugged CoolMOS with startup cell Pb-free lead plating, halogen free mold compound, RoHS compliant Auxiliary power supply of Server, PC, Printer, TV, Home Features TM theater/Audio System, White Goods, etc. 800V avalanche rugged CoolMOS with built-in startup cell Quasi resonant operation till very low load Active burst mode operation for low standby input power (< Description 0.1W) TM The ICE2QR2280G-1 is derived from CoolSET -Q1. The only Digital frequency reduction with decreasing load for reduced TM difference is it has a lower Vcc turn off threshold. The CoolSET - switching loss Q1 is the first generation of quasi-resonant controller and Built-in digital soft-start TM CoolMOS integrated power IC. Operating the MOSFET switch in Foldback point correction, cycle-by-cycle peak current quasi-resonant mode, lower EMI, higher efficiency and lower limitation and maximum on time limitation voltage stress on secondary diodes are expected for the SMPS. Auto restart mode for VCC over-voltage protection, under- TM Based on the BiCMOS technology, the CoolSET -Q1 series has a voltage protection, over-load protection and over- wide operation range (up to 25V) of IC power supply and lower temperature protection power consumption. It also offers many advantages such as Latch-off mode for adjustable output over-voltage protection quasi-resonant operation till very low load, increasing the higher and transformer short-winding protection average system efficiency compared to other conventional Lower Vcc turn off threshold solutions, achieving ultra-low power consumption with small and controllable output voltage ripple at standby mode with Active Applications Burst Mode operation, etc. Adapter/Charger, Blue Ray/DVD player, Set-top Box, Digital Photo Frame W p L D f O Snubber C V C f O bus W s C R R ZC ZC2 ZC1 85 ~ 265 VAC C O W a RVCC D VCC D ~D r1 r4 C VCC Drain ZC VCC C PS Startup Cell Power Management R b1 PWM controller CS Current Mode Control R R b2 ovs1 Cycle-by-Cycle TM R CS GND CoolMOS current limitation Zero Crossing Block Optocoupler R c1 Active Burst Mode FB Protections C C c1 c2 TL431 TM R Control Unit CoolSET -Q1 ovs2 Figure 1 Typical application 1 2 2 V DS Type Package Marking RDSon 230VAC 15% 85-265 VAC ICE2QR2280G-1 PG-DSO-12 ICE2QR2280G-1 800 V 2.26 53 W 30 W 1 typ at T=25C 2 2 Calculated maximum input power rating at Ta=50C, Ti=125C and with 232mm , 2 oz copper area on Drain pin as heat sink..
