PD-94556A ATW28XXS SERIES 28V Input, Single Output HYBRID-HIGH RELIABILITY DC/DC CONVERTER Description ATW The ATW28XXS Series of DC/DC converters feature high power density and an extended temperature range for use in military and industrial applications. Designed Features to MIL-STD-704 input requirements, these devices  19V to 40VDC Input Range (28VDC Nominal) operate with a nominal 28VDC input and are available  30W Output Power with single outputs at 5V,12V and 15V. The circuit design  Indefinite Short Circuit and Overload Protection incorporates a pulse width modulated push-pull 3  22.8W/in Power Density topology operating in the feed-forward mode at a  Fast Loop Response for Superior Transient nominal switching frequency of 270KHz. Input to output isolation is achieved through the use of transformers in Characteristics  Operating Temperature Range from -55C to the forward and feedback circuits. +125C Available The advanced feedback design provides fast loop  Popular Industry Standard Pin-Out response for superior line and load transient  Resistance Seam Welded Case for Superior characteristics and offers greater reliability and radiation Long Term Hermeticity tolerance than devices incorporating optical elements  Efficiencies up to 83% in the feedback circuits.  Shutdown from External Signal  Military Screening Three standard temperature grades are offered. Refer  250,000 hour MTBF at 85C to Part Number section. These devices are provided in  Standard Microcircuit Drawings Available a flanged package for secure mounting in severe environments. Manufactured in a facility fully qualified to MIL-PRF- 38534, these converters are fabricated utilizing DSCC qualified processes.
