It has a special coating that provides it with extra strength and is designed to resist corrosion and wear. 3. Mounting Bracket: This component is used to attach the motor to its mounting surface. It is usually machined out of aluminum or steel and is used to secure the motor in place. 4. Bearings: The bearings are responsible for providing a low friction interface between the motor and its mounting surface. In some applications, a separate set of bearings is also used in order to provide extra support for the drive shaft and prevent it from vibrating. 5. Mechanical Coupling: The mechanical coupling is used to connect the drive shaft and motor shaft together.
