The Honeywell LSA1A is a low-voltage single-stage electronic interlock system designed to prevent contact with a hazardous energy source. It is designed to be used in conjunction with the equipment needed to disconnect power to the hazard. The LSA1A can be used in both industrial and commercial applications including process lines, hazardous areas, and electrical installations. The system is composed of an electronically interlocked contactor and a controller module. The contactor is mounted between the power source and the load and prevents an arc flash between the two when used in accordance with the approved application. The controller module contains a relay which monitors the contactor state and can be adjusted to suit different application requirements. The system is suitable for use in intrinsically safe areas, and is UL certified.
