HOA6563-001 is part of Honeywell's family of optical slot sensors. It is a two-channel, polarized reflective object presence detector specially designed for applications that require both a visible detection output and an electrical signal for controlling the presence of objects. The object-detecting sensor features a high-resolution, low-background optical system that uses multiple beams of near-infrared light to detect the presence of objects from small to large. It has a sensing range of up to 365 mm and can detect an object as small as 3 mm across. The unit also has an adjustable time delay of up to 8 ms, which allows for longer-term presence detection.
