The GM3085E is an 8-pin SOP (Small Outline Package) RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substance) compliant, single-channel RS-485/RS-422 interface IC manufactured by GATEMODE. It is rated for operation at supply voltages between 3V and 5.5V, and can support up to 1Mbps data rate. The device incorporates advanced signal conditioning features such as double differential drivers and receivers, encode and decode functions, slew-rate control, error detection and auto-retransmission capabilities. The GM3085E provides high EMC immunity and selected EMC performance features. It is suitable for use in applications in need of long-distance transmission, including machinery, outdoor and indoor automation, ATMs, and industrial networks.
