It supports a wide range of applications, and is cost effective, low-power, reliable, and compact. It is designed for the Internet of Things (IoT) applications, and hosts a suite of features, including a Wi-Fi MAC, integrated authentication and encryption, full TCP/IP protocol stack, and a rich hardware interface. It also supports various wireless contexts such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and ZigBee. It offers enhanced low power capabilities through its sleep mode and automatic power saving functions. The ESP-WROOM-02 (2MB) comes with an integrated antenna for easy deployment, and can also be connected to an external antenna for increased range.
