SemiconductorThe P61089B is a RoHS-compliant Transient Voltage Suppressor (TVS) surface-mount device, manufactured by Dongchen Semiconductor. It is an 8-pin Small-Outline Package (SOP) packaged in an EIAJ SC-59, which is 0.150 inch / 3.91mm wide.The device consists of two separate parts – a zener diode and a bidirectional thyristor – which protect against transients and overvoltages by clamping the input and output voltages to a safe level. It is designed to operate as either an ESD or overvoltage protection device, and can be used for protection applications up to 15V. It also features thermal shutdown and fast response time, for ultimate protection.
