The PI4MSD5V9548ALEX is an eight channel I2C bus switch with reset manufactured by Diodes Incorporated. It enables production of multiple I2C device designs while reducing costs and board space requirements. The switch utilizes an integrated reset pin to reset all channels at once, allowing the entire I2C bus to be reset in one cycle. The switch is capable of handling up to 5 volts of signal levels and can operate at up to 1.8MHz data rates. Its built-in slew rate control circuitry permits direct connection of high performance peripherals through small series resistors. It features protection against hot plugging, under voltage lockout, over current conditions, and has a wide range of external control options. It is well suited for applications in the consumer electronics, automotive, industrial, and medical markets.
