DF Robot’s SEN0491 is an environmentally-sealed, laser distance sensor designed for obstacle detection and ranging applications indoors or outdoors. It uses a Laser Time of Flight (LTOF) algorithm for accurate and reliable detection up to 6 m with an accuracy of 2 cm. The sensor operates on a 6 to 36 VDC supply voltage and communicates over an industry-standard UART protocol. The sensor also has a low power consumption of less than 8 mA at 12 VDC. This module measures 21.5 x 21 x 8 mm in dimension, and has 10 status LEDs to indicate its current mode of operation.
