WM8742 24-bit 192 kHz DAC with Advanced Digital Filtering DESCRIPTION FEATURES Advanced Ultra High Performance Multi-bit Sigma-Delta The WM8742 is a very high performance stereo DAC Architecture designed for audio applications such as professional 126dB SNR (A-weighted mono 48kHz) recording systems, A/V receivers and high specification CD, 123dB SNR (A-weighted stereo 48kHz) DVD and home theatre systems. The device supports PCM 121dB SNR (non-weighted stereo 48kHz) data input word lengths from 16 to 32-bits and sampling -100dB THD 48kHz rates up to 192kHz. The WM8742 also supports DSD bit- Differential analogue voltage outputs stream data format, in both direct DSD and PCM-converted High tolerance to clock jitter DSD modes. PCM Mode The WM8742 includes fine resolution volume and soft mute Sampling frequency: 32kHz to 192kHz control, digital de-emphasis and a range of advanced digital Input data word length support: 16 to 32-bit filter responses, followed by a digital interpolation filter, Supports all standard audio interface formats multi-bit sigma delta modulator and stereo DAC.
