The MAX6301ESA+T is an industry-leading ultra-low-power, microprocessor (uP) supervisory circuit from Maxim Integrated and manufactured by Analog Devices. This circuit functions as an ultra-low-power reset and system watchdog timer (WDT). It has a voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.The MAX6301ESA+T has two adjustable reset (RESET) thresholds for 2.4V and 4.63V, both with better than 1% accuracy and fast response times to provide reliable reset control and a high-accuracy WDT with a precision start-up delay. The ultra low-power consumption allows the MAX6301ESA+T to be used in battery-operated systems, and its low cost makes it ideal for cost-sensitive applications.The MAX6301ESA+T includes a power-on reset, manual reset, and WDT. The power-on reset provides a guaranteed initial reset after power-on while the manual reset can be triggered manually with a pushbutton. The WDT monitors the status of the system and can be triggered when the time between two manual resets exceeds the programmed number of seconds. Additionally, the circuit includes an independent LVR output, which is able to force the main system reset for additional safety.
