The MAX3485CSA+ is an RS-422/RS-485 Interface IC 3.3V Powered, 10Mbps and Slew-Rate Limited, True RS-485/RS-422 Transceivers manufactured by Analog Devices. It is a single transceiver that is designed to meet the requirements of applications that use half-duplex, asynchronous communications such as instrumentation, industrial process control, point-of-sale, and other full-duplex and multipoint applications. The integrated circuitry within the device provides true RS-485/RS-422 protocol and features half-duplex symmetrical data direction control via the single Auto-Direction Sense/Control pin (ADSEN/CTRL), a high-impedance line-break detect output (LBO) and comprehensive output short-circuit protection. The device also features true RS-485/RS-422 data integrity, with programmable slew- rate limited drivers and a typical data rate of 10Mbps. The direction control includes automatic cable-skew compensation to prevent false bus contention.
