The MAX3221EAE+T is an RS-232 Interface IC manufactured by Analog Devices. It features a true +3V to +5.5V RS-232 transceiver with AutoShutdown, as well as a very low 1µA supply-current. It provides a 15kV ESD rating on RS-232 ports, while being low–power and noise-immune for improved system performance. Additionally, the device supports data rates up to 250k bps, ensuring applications requiring higher speeds are met. Lastly, the MAX3221EAE+T offers robust signals, complete RS-232 protocol and support for full–duplex communication for use in data acquisiiton systems, industrial automation, and consumer applications.
