The MAX202EESE+ is a low-power, power serial interface device from Analog Devices. It is used to convert interface logic levels to RS-232 (EIA-232) electrical levels. This device has two channels and runs on single 5 V supply, drawing a low quiescent current of 4 mA. The device features a rail-to-rail receiver and driver high speed range of 1200 bps to 300 bps with a data rate up to 25 Mbps. It has clamp diodes for electrostatic discharges (ESD) protection as well as hot swap capability. Furthermore, it is RoHS compliant, halogen-free, and lead-free.
